Hi all, I just bought this early epic, very nice looking bass. I just wanted to get some info. also I thought epic production started in 1994? top looks like koa or bubinga?

 It is an early Epic model, maybe even the first 5'er. There are a couple listed Here (http://painandgrief.com/aaa/fcbasssite/alembic/10.htm/here).
