I got this Spoiler as used a couple of years ago and last year I made a restoration of the finishing and it looks perfectly now.

Chalie,
Nice job on the refin. Also very nice flame on the Koa. Check My new '86 Spoiler for another nice Alembic example of flame koa.
Do you have any other pics of the unfinised koa, up close?

Very nice bass, good job on the refinish, plus you have excellent taste in floorboards. And in the background, is that the koa Orion from an earlier thread? (http://club.alembic.com/Images/411/14241.html?1100297499 (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8834)) It seems to have grown a few extra dot markers over the past week.
The Spoiler looks kind of like walnut on mahogany to me, not koa - but of course I could be horribly wrong.
Enjoy!

Thanks for your complement. Here is the bass before getting scraped. You do not see the cracks of the coating and scrashs from this picture but it was plenty and I did not own this bass from the begining so I consider not my marks so I prefered to restore it.
Thanks

Did it have a nitro finish or a poly finish before you refinished it?
