Title: My "new" '99 Bocate Essence 4-string
Post by: squirefan01 on June 23, 2007, 05:41:12 PM
Just got this bass this week.  I love it!!  It has Europa style electronics and THG bocate knobs.  Plays great!!

It seems to have a pretty crazy grain compared to other Bocate basses I see here.  I love the way the grain looks like waves coming out of the pickups!

VERY nice, gorgeous Essence!  Awesome figuring, the knobs look great, and the Europa electronics make it an extremely versatile instrument!

Thanks!  It plays great.  I really love it.

It has Rotosound Nickel Rounds on it now.  I am thinking about putting TI Flats or D'Addario Chromes on it instead.  The rounds are pretty well worn though and do have a nice sound.

I am still getting a feel for the controls.  I think it's a great control setup though and I'm glad to have it set up this way.
