We call that color Caribbean Blue BUT you might find that it's a 2-layer finish is you take off one of the plates.
There was a rather large group of Essence basses purchased by Guitar Center in Green Glow which is a really bright green. They sold most of them, but there were a few that were kicking around their stores for a while in the early 1990s. So we sprayed clear Sapphire Blue over the Green Glow and it made for a really nice version of our Caribbean Blue in fact, I usually prefer it!
If there are any deep scratches, they may be bordered in that Green Glow color.
In any color, it's a lovely bass!

So how rare is this Carribean Blue color? Is thier a number of how many Green Glow basses sprayed with the Sapphire Blue? Thank you so much for the info so far, I'm wanting to know as much as I can about this bass!!a

That is the finish on my Essence. Very nice, I've always preferred tranparent finshes. If anybody is interested in trading for a similar fretless, let me know (see my post in the swap and trade section). Thx, Videroo
