This has probably been posted. Found it earlier when I was warming up to see Manhattan Transfer in concert tonight. They were stunningly off the hook, by the way...

I've never seen that one before - GREAT bass line!
:-D

Nice classic song done very well indeed, that Alembic has a very acoustic bass sound
-
That's Alex Blake on bass. I saw him with Randy Weston (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=18490) two years ago (time really flies these days) - he sure knows how to handle a bass.

Wonderful bass work; it's one of thosde cases where you think 'well you can't sound like an . . . . . . with one of those', and then, somebody forgot to tell THAT guy. Nice.
I just love Manhattan Transfer, but they're definitely one of those things where you just think, 'man, I'll NEVER be that cool. . . .'.

Joey..I know what you mean about 'cool', I would love to be in a band like that but here in the North East of England it's just rock, rock and more damn rock!! It's like a quarry here LOL

That's not an Alembic bass. Clearly an acoustic bass.

Yeah the clue is in the text Their original studio recording superimposed upon a live performance, and Route 66 scenery.
