what are the sound differences in your opinion?........ive never heard a sig model.

compared to a series-1?
It does not have the single coil pu's I think it does not sound as open as series basses a bit more compressed,and the frequency range is more limited. But it still sounds very good. I like the sound of the single coil pu's better.
But it's all a matter of taste not everybody likes the same sound.
