I bought this beautiful bass a few weeks ago, It's a heavy instrument! Sounds great, but I think a years free back adjustments should come with it! Has anyone tried that new strap that is more like a harness? I'd also love to get an idea how many six strings there are. Bye, gtrguy S/N 90H6057

Oh man, killer top on your bass. It's beautiful and we need more Elans around here!
BTW, I tried a strap several years ago that was harness-like. Personally, I wouldn't bother if I was you. It seemed too inflexible. YMMV. It might have been great for parachutes, though!

That's a magnificent top....!
If I was gonna go for a 6 string bass, i think the Elan shape or even the Europa would be just right. I think I'd change the headstock to a 4 + 2 arrangement as I love the shape of the elan headstocks on the lesser stringed models.
