Here is a long shot of my '80 Short Scale. She has yellowed with age and the finish has a lot of scaling but is still gorgeous to behold.

Very nice bass, Andy. As a matter of fact your whole collection of instruments is impressive.
Welcome to the club!

Welcome Andy; which of your songs at Songramp features the Alembic?
-
I'm listening to some of your tunes. Really nice stuff!!

Hi Andy, and welcome! I consider a yellowed finish on a bass a plus, and checking is just added character. Nice bass. You have a job many of us would envy. I look forward to checking out your site more thoroughly, later - It is still 'busy' season at work. Do have fun and take care.

Thanks guys!
Listen to the track 'Five Star' for the Alembic.
I agree about the character factor on these old models. They are my favorites.
Cheers,
Andy
