Thanks, Dave. This bass has been through Hell and back and is part of my soul. There is nothing on Earth that sounds like a Series Alembic, and having this one built to my specs so long ago was the single best investment I could have possibly made in and for myself. For a short period when I wasn't playing music anymore I traded it to one of my brothers, but was able to get it back after a few years so it has really never left the family. Everybody should be so fortunate as to play an instrument so amazingly responsive and inspiring.

It is a beautiful bass. It has to sound great.

That's just darn purty. I love the look of aged cocobolo. Hope mine ages that well.
Peace,

Thanks, guys.
Sam, you're welcome to play it anytime and for as long as you wish if ever you're in this part of the world.
James, your basses are simply gorgeous, so I am really humbled that you like 811952 so well. Yours will always look great. And my bass welcomes your test drive any time as well.
I love sharing dreams, stories, pictures and information with you guys and the rest of the group on these pages. This has to be the most civil forum on the internet.
