Quick snap-shot of my baby during recording session in our new home, L.A. I couldn't resist(http://club.alembic.com/Images/411/43767.jpg)

That is a nice-looking series. What is the top wood on that? The fretboard looks red. Is it Vermillion? Very cool and unique bass!
-
Thanks, good eyes! Red...Yes the fretboard is Vermillion (great sounding too!!). The top wood is a splendid piece of California Walnut. The engineer at this studio was intrigued by the way the bass looked and then was astonished by the ease in which we got a fantastic tone.
-
correction****** oops.....the fretboard is Paduk, not vermillion, just thought i would set record straight.
-
Hey Oggy,
Vermillion is another name for Padauk, so you're both right (you and your alter-ego).
Let's see some more pics just to be sure!
-
Just testing...you pass!!, no one else seems to dig this bass, so my alter-ego as you put it was trying bump this discussion to the top.

Is that ProTools running in the background? Gotta be... And KRK's?
-
ProTools HD, and those are KRK's sounded great on playback.
