Title: I was offered an Alembic trade for my Modulus Q6....please help.

Hey Alembic folks,
You may have seen in the for sale section that I have a new 2012 Modulus Q6 with Spalted Maple top. i was looking for a trade for an Alembic 5-String, I am having problems playing a six, from an injury to left hand from my teenage years(broken pinky. I wanted a smaller scale neck and 5-strings. Well this is what we are discussing as a straight up trade....here is the description the owner sent:
My Essence is a 2004, Bloodwood top, Mahogany body, neck is maple with purpleheart (I haven't seen another Essence neck like this) with Abalone inlays and Red led's. Ebony fingerboard. 34 scale, (I'll double-check that) Standard Essence electronics, simple, yet very effective in easily changing tone. Comes with HSC. I don't think there's a significant mark on the instrument anywhere. The HSC is pristine as well. I bought this bass a couple years ago on an E-Bay estate auction. Now I primarily only deal on T/B with my bass brothers/sisters. So, to say the least when the bass arrived I was a bit nervous...
Opening the box was an amazing surprise - the HSC was literally new, (still is) and the bass looked like it had the original strings on it, and maybe never really ever played!?!? The brass bridge and tailpiece - Perfect. NO significant oxidation from being touched by anyone's hands. The Led battery's were dead, so I replaced them, new strings and a set-up, and it's been a bass that is very special. This bass will stand a LOW set-up, and playes well all over the fretboard.

Please share your thoughts.
Thanks,
         Craig
pics are being sent to me. You can see the Modulus on this forum under for-sale.

Abalone inlays and LEDs would be an upgrade.
34 would be standard, I believe. Very nice looking Essence..

I agree - that is the nicest Essence I've ever seen also.  The triple purple heart neck laminates are an expensive addition as well I believe.

There is the block under bridge also not standard on Essences.

Ooooh man, I am gassing. can anyone tell me about the neck and playability? I am concerned about the 19mm. A Modulus Q6 supposedly a narrow neck for a 6-string but its too much for my left hand with the pinky injury.

If you decide to pass, let the potential trader know---I'm convinced he could sell that fine specimen here on the board.

Ahhhhhhh----Bloodwood.
