Jazzyvee?

You mean the noise that he's getting 47 secs into the clip?
The noise upgrade is for getting rid of more recent types of RF interference (wireless and mobile devices, flatscreens) than what the system was designed to suppress.
To me, this sounds more like electronics that need some TLC, perhaps some components that need to be replaced.

Well that, and a stereo-to-mono cord to get the signal from the bridge pickup too.

Ah ok.

Then again he hasn't a clue what the bass does and could be using the wrong cable.
Alembics are not 'plug & play' instruments, you not only have to re learn your playing technique but also learn how to use the controls as well..he obviously doesn't!
-
Doesn't he say something like I have no idea what these controls do? Duh! Figure it out before you make a demo video...

That bass sounds really nice. I bet somebody has tinkered around with the electronics..didn't put them back correctly.
My Distilliate's filters next to the Q switch don't seem to do much when tested against single notes, either. But..you sure notice the effect when playing to music.
