Hereby my first Alembic, built in 1981. Rosewood top & back. A lightweight graphite neck(with material of NASA). I LOVE HER.(http://club.alembicguitars.com/Images/411/6479.jpg)

Hey Edwin, glad to have you here in this gathering.  Just wondering, how many Alembics do you own or have you owned?

Edwin, she looks great. Is that a medium scale on a small standard body? Good to hear from you.

Will Alembic still make a graphite neck model as a custom order?

Hello Edwin,
Very nice bass indeed! She's exactly what I'd like to have one day as well! A graphite neck must sound different from a normal short scale. Could you try to describe a bit if there is a notable tonal difference to a wooden neck Alembic, I suppose there is? How do the harmonics ring? I've noticed that on an all graphite bass they ring actually a lot better than on a wooden bass (even if it's an Alembic!)
All the bass
Jan

This one bumped heads with my SII today :-)

4 Alembic heads (+ some more in the background) :-)  (incl The Fish!)
