I ran across this picture, hadn't seen it mentioned here, figured I'd add it.  I know nothing of this band other than what I just read at Wikipedia.  Nice picture though....

I can't stop wondering what exactly the girl is trying to achieve though...

The young lady's arms, shoulders and legs take on the shape of Salvador Dal?'s 1936 sofa, the one that looks like Mae West's lips.
 
And the sofa shot is of course a classic on the FTC threads here.
 
But is there a connection?

Adriaan you are absolutely right!
Dali's Mae West sofa.... I had to Google that.
 
I'm not sure what the FTC thread is nor am I sure of the connection. BUT I do know that a young woman and a sweet bass on an album cover is a sure way to get a few extra sales!

Maybe she amazed how well the Alembic matches her body... Alembics are voluptuously shaped ass we all know... The girl is a looker.

The guy, looks like Suga-Foot from the Ohio Players.
 
I think was done out of fun... to copy the Ohio Players, because on every one of their Albums, they had a beautiful sexy woman posing on the front.
