What I like about this video is the versatility of his Alembic sounds.
If I didn't actually see the bass, I would had guessed wrong and thought it was a Music Man or a juiced up Fender. It just goes to show you, Alembics can get down in the dirt and get Funky.
And if that was not enough he fingers A very famous JACO P. riff that surged a chill down my spine... and at that point, I was able to hear that Alembic glassy sound. Then just to go deeper, he throws an octave or ultra bass effect.
I can't understand how anybody could say they can't record Alembics. That bass was very recordable!
I am sure after that solo, the bassist treated the drummer to a very nice dinner.
