This is another one of those pieces that you want to hang on the wall just the way it is.

I always wonder what the scale of the body template is to these woods, this one in particular. For example, how would the short scale body relate to this piece of wood?

Hi folks ,

If i had to...i mean , if i could buy another bass now , it would probably be a 5 strings in BB bookmatched center,top...everywhere! The body should be a new balanced k , scale 32 ,like my actual order . It would also be a S2 with led's ,amber or blue , on the neck and side . I would pick a dark BB like the one i mentioned in the link ( dave's short scale ) with almost no yellow in it...should be great !

Lots of the bookmatches have something for scale in the picture. In this one, the board below the bookmatch has lines every 6 inches.

I will be posting many more Buckeye Burl bookmatches next week, and they are the mostly blue variety - real stunning examples!

Thanks Mica! I saw the board, I just didn't know it was 6 inches each measure. So how many inches (square) would one need for a body, let's say the SC small body?

Thanks very much!

The pieces shown here are available only as choice for a top or back laminate on an Alembic bass or guitar.
