Post by: mica on September 21, 2007, 05:01:34 PM
Took this one a while ago of the Mahogany body very early in the process:

Then last week I saw your bass arrive in carving:

This week, it was routed and back in carving:

Triple Omega Balance.  Nice.

Looks like Series 1.5 or 2 (w/o Master volume).  Double nice.

The top is placed beautifully, and the omega tips are tres cool.

A real stunner you have on your hands there, John.

Wow! That's a nice top. Love the triple O shape too.

p.s. the drilling pattern looks like standard series 1 to me. Check out sholi's series one further down the FtoC threads.

Graeme,

It has a pickup selector, so it isn't stock Series I.

Have they changed the specs on the Series I electronics?  Pickup selectors have always been standard/stock on Series I.

Mea maxima culpa.  I don't know what I was thinking.

Finish curing:

We've got to wait until the solvents have completely evaporated from the finish. Then it will be hard enough to do the final rubout.

Love the little purpleheart circles on the heart tips. A nice touch :-)
