I think the logo and headstock on this guitar is nothing short of breathtaking. Is that purpleheart?

The wood looks like ebony to me. I agree the logo is shunning almost luminous in quality.

the reflections on the cloud made it so real, amazing!

That is beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Whomever is selling this guitar has excellent photography skills. Beautiful!
-
Holy shamoley - it glows from within!
-
Such a fine example. Almost looks Photoshopped, as if that couldn't possibly have been made by human hands.
-
Love it!!
Probably the best logo I've ever seen.

They did an amazing job on mine as well:

Wow - these are astounding!
Here's a thread from a few years back with a bunch of logos, from the earliest, more austere ones to the more recent, gorgeous ones. (http://club.alembicguitars.com/index.php?topic=3495)

It's one of the little Alembic details that other makers overlook.
These logos are like the jewel in the crown (headstock, in this case) - appropriate signatures for unique works of art.
The care that is taken to craft these logos is indicative of the pride and care that goes into every step of the manufacturing process.

I like mine as well...others?
-
All of those examples have beautiful cloud textures.

Favorite of all mine is the handcut silver one on old #77-621;
Favorite of all time is probably this one Mica posted a while back;
