Title: John's Custom Buckeye Burl Signature Bass
Post by: mica on May 19, 2010, 02:01:09 PM: Well, it took a week longer than I thought, but we found a piece of Buckeye that is practically the spitting image of your reference piece:

It was previously slated for a short scale bass, so there's a few extra lines there. But I've added some hinting arrows in yellow so you can see the parts that will be included with your bass.

I'll post more images as interesting things happen.

I keep catching it after it's been prepped for the next coat, so it's literally dull looking. See? Here's another one a couple of days later. More coats, still prep sanded:
