But I also spied your neck in the early stages of construction:

For the curious - this is a Maple and Walnut neck, and Honeycrisp apples are in season.

I love the book matched wood selection in the first pic at the top and I would like to bite the Apple ! Now I am off to the store to find such an Apple ! LOL =>.
-
Yo gotta love HONEYCRISPS!!! Sooo JUICY!!!

Stunning!

Gotta like the beginnings of this fine guitar ! What are honeycrisp apples ? We don't have them here in VA.
-
Honeycrisp apples were developed here at the University of Minnesota. They are an attempt to produce an apple that is similar to a MacIntosh but not as tart and good for both eating and baking (as well as able to withstand the cold weather that winters (other than this one) typically bring to Minnesota.

Wow, it's great! And I would like to name this Skylark Honeycrisp, how about it?
-
A beautiful guitar, the Alembic Sound, A tasty Apple !
Three reasons that are hard to resist !
Honeycrisp is a wonderful name !

Hammer thanks for the info ! I had no idea. Yeah I vote for Honeycrisp as a name.
Mica, the finish dept should come up with some kind of cool trans honeycrisp glossy for future finishes.
-
I see that Honecrisp has her sealer coats and she's sanded now, ready for the next coat of finish:

I hope to get you another picture next week before it's sanded so you can see the grain.
-
Great! My Honeycrisp puts on her make up, and wondering what clothes to wear. I look forward to the next step.
-
I love that wood combination! You are going to have a beautiful guitar!
-
Honeycrisp is in final cure now:

It will just be waiting around for the next couple of weeks for the finish to fully harden and get in the queue for setup. I'll keep you posted as to when something happens next. Enjoy!

Gorgeous! I love the grain pattern!

It takes a couple of days to get the export paperwork back from the government agencies, so it's likely to be something that ships next week. I will keep you posted by email, Hiro.
Enjoy!
