Title: Distillate Electronics in a Epic?

Well finally, I got my first Alembic, a flamed maple Epic 4 string. Just curious, would it be possible to update this bass with Distillate electronics? How much would that cost?  Thanks

You're looking at major surgery there. The first obstacle is to sort out what to do with the existing hole pattern. The Epic usually has volume - pan - bass - treble controls. Mapping the Distillate's volume - filter - pickup selector switch - Q switch - bass c/b switch - treble c/b switch gets tricky.  
 
The holes you have drilled are for mounting pots. We can make the job slightly easier by using Europa electronics (with a pan pot instead of a pickup selector switch), that solves one hole. The volume and filter will mount fine. Then there is the remaining hole and 3 switches to match up.  
 
You could mount the Q switch in the last hole with a large washer or fill and then redrill the hole. Then locate a convenient spot to drill the bass and treble switches.  
 
We'll certainly need to enlarge the backplate routing and fit a new backplate. I think the complete job would cost about $900-1000. We'd use your existing pickups and you'll have a spare set of Epic electronics to use in another project.
