Title: Upgrading Rogue elecs?
Post by: zn_bassman on June 16, 2005, 06:24:39 AM
Just got a stock '97 Rogue with a Bocate top. I'm considering upgrading the elecs. Mica/Val: can you please answer the following:

1. Price and feasibility of adding a second Q/filter + bass and treble switches, and assigning each set of Q/filter/boosts to a separate p/u.

2. Price and feasibility of adding a second Q/filter, assigning each Q/filter to a separate p/u, and having the boosts affect the combined output.

3. Can either of these be done (wiring + drilling/mounting) by a local shop? I live halfway around the world. If so, what's the price of the hardware and can I get a circuit diagram and instructions for the wiring?

At this rate, the Buzzard-2 is going to have to wait a couple of years. If I upgrade my Rogue, maybe I'll get rich enough to buy it earlier. ;-)

Plus my dream Alembic - flatsawn Zebrawood Exploiter body, custom Series2/Rogue combo elecs w/ 2 mono outputs, side LEDs, ebony neck lams, 26 frets.

Once I get those 2 basses, I can start thinking about 5-, 6-, and 8-strings. In the meantime, I'll have to try to make do with a modest upgrade to my Rogue. ;-)
