I'd always dreamed of having a custom bass built, from a double neck(fretted, fretless) Spector NS-2 which had been abandoned due to my back aging faster than me, I believe in my heart that Alembic is the one. Even though I've only been playing them for about a year and a half this is where I want to call home. So here is the Dream
Series 1
5 Pc. neck-3 flame maple, 2 ebony lams
abalone inlays
inlaid logo w/shell
side l.e.d.'s & front laser l.e.d.'s in blue
ebony neck framing @ the body
Bal. K Heart-Omega w/elbow & tummy cut
p/up selector on lower horn (vintage placement)
Buckeye Burl top
maple pinstripe,1/8 purple heart accent lam
maple pinstripe,1/8 walnut or wenge accent lam
flame maple core
reverse the order above for the back of the bass
No wood front or back plates, and I originally wanted 1/8 ebony accent lams instead of walnut or wenge but the cost was already out there soooo, you know how it goes guys it's only money!

Sounds freakin' sweet, Adam!
Don't be afraid to pony up the jack for the wood backplates, though. They're really not that much when you think of paying for them over a period of a few years ;-) Plus they're lighter than brass...think of the money you'll save on chiropractic bills!
