My emails to mica and susan@alembic.com (http://mailto:susan@alembic.com) are bouncing.
I wanted to confirm a new order for Green Square Music - for Bass People, our new retail outlet:
SC Sig Deluxe
Rosewood top & back
Vermillion core
Recessed silver logo w/shell
Continuous wood back plate
Custom fitted hard case
Thanks

I was having trouble with mail bouncing as well:
:
192.82.0.197 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied. Proper authentication required.
Giving up on 192.82.0.197.
Looks like someone was being security conscious but not actually testing the results.

Maybe there's a relation with the server problems ;-)

David; they've been having some really bad weather in the area. Power outages, flooding. That may be why the emails were bouncing.

Dave,
Based on the error that I got, it isn't related to the storms, it is a configuration issue.
Not saying that the storms aren't at fault for other things, though.

It was a configuration error at our ISPs temporary backup mailserver for a few hours after we changed DNS to have an MX record for the ISPs mailserver. After their correction was made, then mail could be delivered to their machine and stored for later delivery to us.
Now that our internet connection is back up, the stored mail got delivered to us and we no longer have that temporary MX in our DNS zone.
While the primary fast internet service was down, then only web service was provided through our backup frac T1. So Club mail was delayed until after microwave service was restored.
Our service comes from the tallest building downtown, and the antenna blew over. The security people of the building wouldn't let repairmen on the roof in the high winds and rains.
Our security consciousness is expressed in different, tested ways

Ha! Like running Pine.
Oh, wait-- did you upgrade to Alpine?
