Im currently thinking about having a custom bass built. Currently I own a SI LS, a SII medium scale, and SCSD.
As much as I like the series basses, at times I find the body size to just be too large, and was wondering if a medium bodied bass has ever been built, something in between the small size of the SCSD, and the full size of the series basses.
Also, is it possible to have a bass built using the SCSD electronics, yet have the body prepped for a future upgrade to series electronics?

I know they've made 3/4 bodies before, look for Alpha Omega in the custom archive to see how it looks, I personally love it

Thats close to what I had in mind, but still looks a little large, I was thinking more along the the lines of a 1/2 size body.
I guess if you want series electronics though than your limited to how small the body can be.

There is Tom's Custom Shorter Scale Bass (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=7467).
There's a shot of the bass next to a Further guitar - Mica's post #6096 - the bass looks like it may even be a tiny bit smaller than the guitar!
