I purchased a 1978 Alembic Series I (SN:78 1064)  bass a couple of months ago. Any info you can dig up on it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I found:
 
78-1064 MSB-I
 
top and back: Purpleheart
core: Mahogany
neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 32 medium scale
fingerboard: Ebony with mother of pearl oval inlays
peghead facing veneers: Walnut
originally made for: Rothschild Distribution
birthday: April 6, 1978
 
We haven't heard a peep from this bass since I was seven years old!
