What do you do when nobody claims to have made this guitar? I get no responses from my emails to Modulus. Alembic won't claim it. Anyone got any ideas?

Claim it? Certainly we would never take credit for anything that we didn't make, even if somehow our name appeared on it. So at least you know it isn't something made by our company.
Maybe you should try calling Modulus? Not every company answers every email, and it would be fair to them. I'm not sure about the personell at Modulus, the founder is no longer there and it may well be that nobody there knows. Maybe dfung knows something - he's one of the resident Modulus experts 'round these parts.
Do you like the guitar? Does it play well? That's probably the most important thing if you intend to keep it.

If you search the archives here, you'll find that these have been previously discussed. I think that Mica may have contributed some thoughts (basically saying that they were made by Modulus, and the Alembic name on the headstock is little more than a licensing arrangement).

...And Mica beats me to the draw... :-)

Dude,
I feel your pain. I'd like to offer, as a service, to help you relieve your pain!
I'll be sending my address shortly.
Seriously though, who cares about pedigree when you have an awesome guitar to play?
