Curious about the history of this for-sale item.

Jim...too many numbers! Usually it's the year, then one or more letters, then the serial #.
I bet it's 85Sxxxxx, for a Spoiler bass!

We've got 85S3808 details here:
top: Walnut
accent: not recorded (probably no accent laminate)
body: Mahogany
neck: Maple, 32 medium scale
fingerboard: Ebony, pearloid oval inlays
pickups: AXY (fiel doesn't say 1 or 2)
electronics: AE-1. That means one or two volumes (depending on the number of pickups) and a filter control
birthday: December 6, 1983
Originally sold to: not recorded
Registered as a used instrument in 1993 in Illinois.
85S3806 is not in the files, but there's a big stack of refiling to attend to.
