Hi Mica
 
I recently bought an Alembic Mark King (second hand) at the Bass Gallery in London.
Would it be possible to give ne some details about it (serial number 98MJ11889) ?

Here's what I found out about your bass from the instrument file:
 
Signature Standard, MJMB4
top: Flame Maple
accent: Purpleheart
body: Mahogany, 3/4 size with point
neck: Maple with Walnut pinstripes, 32 medium scale
fingerboard: Ebony with pearloid ovals
finish: satin natural polyurethane (very thin)
pickups: AXY
controls: volume, pan, filter x2, Q switch x2, mono output
birthday: December 1, 1998
