I was finally able to get the back bras cover off, and the strangest thing was that it came off without a hitch. It was a year since my last attempt, but the weather gods were in my favor, getting the assist. Anyway the SN # listed above is for what I assume is a Series I model (6-string). Is there any more info I can gather up on my baby from this info, like the woods used? Thanks again all!

Are the screws out? If so try a rubber mallet. If not try WD-40 (be careful to protect the finish on the wood)

Hi Kenny,
I'd lightly sand down the edge of the plate while it's free, especially if you see any tooling marks that could act like teeth in the future.
Here's what I found in our records about your guitar:
top and back: Schedua
body: Mahogany
through-body neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 24.75 inch medium scale
fingerboard: Vermilion with mother of pearl inlays
peghead veneers: Vermilion
birthday: November 3, 1977
originally made for: Rothchild
There's no repair or ownership record.
