You remade the neck for a short scale.  Please let me know what you know about this really nice bass.

Not much, these records were just on the little index cards. Here's what it says:
 
top and back: Schedua
body: Mahogany
through-body neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 30.75 short scale
fingerboard: Ebony with mother of pearl inlays
peghead veneers: Zebrawood
originally made for: Rothchild
birthday: August 9, 1977
