Welcome to the club.  I found this serial number lookup (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=6326) on the bass.  Hope this helps.

thanks for the infos. i found this bass  at a local sale site for an umbelievable price of 1050.- british pound. i sent some mails but never got an answer. maybe its a joke or something...

Hi Hannes, I'm pretty sure it's a scam. I own 99MJ11942 and have had it for a few years now.
