Hi Johnathan,
 
According to the file, the bass was also Flame Maple, which the one pictured clearly isn't. Next time you change the strings, can you please look under the pickups and tell me if you can see a 4-digit number there? It might help me properly identify this bass.  
 
From the picture, I can tell you this is likely a Flame Walnut top, Maple pinstripe and Mahogany body. The neck appears to be 3-pieces of Maple with an Ebony fingerboard. What makes you think it started out as a fretless?
