I am looking to buy this bass and would like some details please
It's solid black and I wonder what wood is underneath.

Here's what I found in the instrument file:
 
KMB4 Essence 4-string bass
 
body: Solid Mahogany
neck: 3-piece Maple with 2 Walnut pinstripes
scale: 32 medium
fingerboard: Ebony
finish: jet black opaque
pickups: Alembic MXY 4
controls: Essence volume, pan, filter
originally made for: Type O Negative
birthday: March 6, 1995
 
This bass was originally set up with .065 .080 .105 .128 tuned to C#.  
 
It has 3 previous registered owners.
