Hi George,

Welcome to the forum.  The posted serial number 1069 for a 1997 I believe to be in error. Do you possibly mean 97Q10691 which has been looked up here (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=6378)?  Serial numbers for 1997 range in the 10000+ and into 11000.  I have 10814 which was born in July of 1997.

Hope this helps!
Art

Art,

Forgot to ask, how do I register the bass in my name?

Thanks,
George

Hi George, welcome to the board!  You can register  your bass here (http://www.alembic.com/cgi-bin/register.pl).  Were you able to determine the correct serial number?

Hi George,

Was Art correct that the serial number of your bass is actually 97Q10691?

Hi Mica,

Sorry for the L O N G delay, but yes Art is correct.  I'm now the very proud owner of 97Q10691.  The bass is in absolutely like new mint condition and is just beautiful with black round wound strings.
