My friend has a Persuader that looks like it might be a custom build. It is serial number 85P3567. It has 2 pickups similar to my Distillate with the front pickup pushed back very close to the bridge pickup. It also looks like it has 2 volumes and 2 tone knobs plus one switch. (can't remember if it has a pickup selector switch or knob) Looking to see if we can find a build sheet for this number and get the details.

Can anyone at Alembic help with this please?

Hi Jeff,
There are no comments about the pickup position or electronics on this bass. If you could email me or post pictures of what is inside the electronics cavity I can let you know what I think is going on there.
Here's what is in the instrument file:
top: Bocate
body: Mahogany
neck: 3-piece Maple
scale: 32 medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals
pickups: AXY
electronics: AE-1 (so that's 2 volume and 1 filter)
birthday: April 23, 1985
There is one registered owner in Washington.

Oh, oh, I think I know, teacher! Originally a single p/up bass with a bridge p/up added later?
