Hello
I'm just about to buy used Alembic Epic 5 - i have only 20h left for decision!
Im courious becouse as far as i see my model with serial number 97W11229 has got GOTOH tuners without A logo and with diffrent shape comparing to some of i found on web.
I would like to buy fully original model.
Can you tell me if everything is ok with it? Are this parts original? Why there is no logo on tuners?
I would lke to know more about history of this bass too.
Thanks
Ps. I already love your basses

Lots of times there's no A on the tuners - it depends if we have them in stock or not. I can't tell you if the bass is still original from 1997 - that was a long time ago.
Those tuners are Gotohs, and they are our preferred shape (we have a new shipment coming in soon and we special order them in this old style).

I finally got, and already play two gig's.
It's amazing bass!
Speaking about a machineheads.
They're rather worn out.
I would like to replace them with those with A logo.
How can i order them ?

Hi Stanislaw,
Here's what I found out about your bass:
model name: Epic
model number: WLB5
top: Megaflame Walnut*
accent: Maple
body: Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple with 4 Walnut pinstripes
scale: 34 long
fingerboard: Ebony
pickups: MXY56
controls: Epic volume, pan, bass, treble, mono output
originally made for: Guitar Center
birthday: January 9, 1998**
*This is the only time I've seen Megaflame Walnut noted, it must be very pretty!
**Since the serial number is under the finish, it was stamped in 1998, even though the bass was finished a few days later in 1999
I sent you an email with some other details about replacing tuners if you like.
