As it happens this came up for sale here on the club right before my 50th birthday. I had a bunch of "gig money" saved up, so - instant birthday present.  Pretty sure it's Walnut, but it looks slightly different than my other Walnut Alembics.

The original owner was registered in Maryland.

I just put Alembic Strings on the Orion and boy does she sing now!
 
Great news about the other repair. I left you a voice-mail regarding that just now (16 Dec)
