I recently got this and am trying to figure out the specs....I LOVE IT!!!

I was told it is a 1990 and looks like quilted maple on the top....I don't know much else other than I was super excited to open the case and play it!

Thanks!
The tone and mwah is everything I thought it would be. :-)
Now I'm gonna go home and grab my vise grips and convert my Distilate to a fretless!

Hello Jaymi,
Welcome aboard, I too am an Alembic Distillate owner and they Rock! So easy to setup up, even on a busy stage. Truly a wonderful instrument. Note: keep in mind the tailpiece adds some length to the string length. So from my experience long scale (34? strings) on a 32? Distillate works fine. Medium scale strings may fall short.
Enjoy!

I am working on setting it up. Is the truss rod nut a 1/4 standard or is it special? I need to straighten the neck. I am not sure how well this thing was cared for before I got it and I like my action super low....

Thanks for the link....

Jaymi, welcome to our group. Congrats on your acquisition. You and the bass sound great. Killer tones and looks. It's enough to make me re-think fretless...and confirms that I've never heard a Distillate that I didn't like no matter the music style or amplification. Have fun!
