I recently acquired a beautiful black Alembic 6 string bass, serial # 00 C 12354. I am wondering if you could tell me anything about it? I bought it at a cancer benefit auction (it was donated) and I just couldn't watch it be undersold! So I purchased and I will be selling it at a very reasonable price with proceeds going to the family. Thx.

You are doing a great thing to help a family in crisis. Be patient with your request as it can take sometime getting a reply from the Alembic archive.
However there are some bright folks around here that may be able to help quicker if you were to post a few pictures.

Lots of variables with Alembic, but Every Picture Tells a Story!!! A Full Frontal with close-ups of the front, back, head stock, and neck will tell most folks what they need to know. Don't forget to list it in the Swap Shop/For Sale section.
