Here is what I found out about your bass:
 
serial number: 85D3730
model name: Distillate
model number: DMB4
top: Bocate
accent: none
body: Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 32 medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals
pickups: AXY4
controls: DS-I volume, pickup selector, filter, Q-switch, bass cut/flat/boost, treble cut/flat/boost, mono output
originally made for: not recorded
birthday: September 20, 1985
 
In 2002 it was sent in for the follow repairs:
check and rest metal inserts
new knob for pickup selector switch
refurbish bridge (replace with stainless screws and clean)
new truss rod cover
stamp serial number in cavity
replace pickup selector switch
 
The owner at the time was in Tennessee.

Thanks Mica!  I had a sneeking suspicion that the top might be Bocate, as opposed to Cocobolo.
