Title: Adjusting pickup balance on Elan bass
Post by: jogi on November 30, 2005, 03:46:09 AM
Somewhere in the forum I read that Elan basses should have two trim pots for adjusting the individual output of each pickup. I can only find one trim pot that adjusts the overall output level.
To get even levels from both pickups, I have to turn the P about 3/4 down. Is there a possibility to put in a trim pot just for that one pickup?

cheers, Jogi

Your bass doesn't have Elan electronics then. It sounds like you have a Persuader with PJ combo. If you can reply with a photo of the electronics in the cavity, I can confirm and see what kind of room you have for modifications.

Hi Mica,

thanks for your fast reply. The serial number of the bass is 88H4936 - should be an Elan then, right?

cheers, Jogi
