Title: Setup of my basses

Hello Alembicians,
 
I'm new to the forum. A Question to the setup of my basses.  
 
I just changed the strings of my two new Alembics ( Essence 5 & Orion 5 ). Now for my playing style the strings are to low. I think the bow of the fretboard is perfect ( if the string is pressed down aroud the 5th fret, there is still 0,5 - 0,7 mm space between string and fret at the 12th fret ), but if I play the basses a little harder, the strings rattle on the frets.  
 
I know how to adjust the neck, but when should I adjust the bridge or the nut ?
 
Is anybody able to explain this procedure to me in easy words ( I'm from Germany.. ).
 
Could this be a problem of the strings ( Alembic stainless steel ) ? They seem to be quite soft. On my Excel 5 I do play R.Cocco stainless steels.

Hi Chris! Welcome to the Club.
 
Check out the  section for some excellent explanations. Alembics are designed to let you do your own setup, exactly how you like it.
