Title: FATBOYS EATS BATERRY FAST?
Post by: roberto on September 23, 2008, 07:17:28 AM
Hi!
I want to share my experience .
My Persuaders usually needs changing batteries after around 3 months or so.But With Fatboys installed,
bateries needs changing after about 100hours or so.
IS this normal? Any of you guys experience the same thing?
Thanks
Robert

There's an extra contact on the jack socket that switches the battery on/off - you insert the jack and the switch goes on, you pull it out and the switch goes off.

Perhaps when installing the Fatboys, you somehow bent the extra contact, so it's always on?

Check the IC on the preamp board and tell me what is printed on it. 3 months is pretty short, so I'm thinking that you do not have the low-drain chip.
