Hi, I am looking for a wiring diagram for tribute, hoping to see if I can install a five way selector instead of 3 OEM 3 way toggle switch.
I understand the general problems of this issue by having a 5 way selector switch :
1)that I would lose the ability to have 3 pickups turned on at the same time, and
2) loss of bright switch use.
#1problem I have to deal with. #2problem though, I figure, I can use a control knob with push on/off switch instead of the OEM filter knobs.
I just am more used to a selector switch than toggle switches, and 3 of 3 way toggle switches makes it infinitely hard to deal with to select pickup positions on the fly.
If possible, I wanted to take a wiring diagram of the electronics to a professional luthier. I also would welcome any input anyone have on this matter.
thanks!

You'll also need to decide what combination you would like each of the 5-positions to assign. You don't only lose the all-off.
Also, I suppose now is as good as a time as any to softly announce that we've got both Tribute and Further Stage models in development with more simple electronics and (yes) a 5-way switch. The rest of the electronics are: volume, filter, effects loop blend, mono output and effect loop jack. These new models will probably retail around $6600.

Wow! That's an excellent news! Perhaps would be interested in the future (when I get some $$$ lol).
True, combination too. I was planning it to have it set up like my strat.
Anyways, mica, is there a wiring diagram that I can get to show to my luthier? I'm located overseas across the pacific, and would rather not have problems during the conversion process. If this is a stupid idea (as it may sound), I'd consider that too.

Email your mailing address to me.

thanks mica, it was sent to you.

A $6600 Further...that's dreamy.

mica, did you receive an email from me?

That's interesting. I brought up this very item to Mica as we were discussing a volume problem I was having.
I decided to stay with how Further is set up and re-oriented the switches some. This resolved a couple issues I had.
However I still keep turning on the bridge pickup when I mean to turn on the effects loop.
I might be able to afford a second Further if the New models make a debut. Ohhh, drool Alembic! Any FTC thread on this? Need a test client???
