First recording with my SII Custom. Other than the obvious keys and guitars, everything else was multi-tracked on the bass - chords, rhythm, melody and obviously bass. Kathy is the love of my life (30 years this November), and this is built around a favorite riff.
Obviously good headphones/speakers will make a difference. Not flawless by any means, but as the famous cellist Pablo Casals replied when asked why he still practiced daily in his 80s, he said Because I feel I am making progress.
Hope you enjoy.

Very nice! Nice and laid-back, a nice place to be on a sunny afternoon.
And I love the Casals quote!

I enjoyed that tune

Thanks for your kind words. Smooth and laid-back are high praise because that's what I was going for.
Harry, I added it to the Alembic Soundcloud page - thanks for pointing me in that direction.

Cool stuff, groovin'!

Really nice!

Way cool stuff!! Where do you get the great string sounds?
Personally, I would bring the clav forward a touch in the mix (which may require pulling something else back more) and swap out the kick sample for one that is rounder and fat with no high tones or sounds, but I am just old-school.
Great playing and great concepts!

Thanks guys.
Good thoughts, David, on the mix and the kick. All of the keys/strings were from a Yamaha Motif XS.
