I have a 70's model model f-2b and the transformer wire insulation looks bad at the winding..the transformer isn't made anymore..what to do will the newer model transformers work or does anyone know of a sub.

Eric,

Yes the new transformers are available from Alembic.
Give them a call.
I have done it to mine and it works.
Easy installation if you can solder.

One more question do the newer versions of the f-2b have any different circuit changes.  The news one come with a schematic on the inside but my f-2b doesn't have one.

Eric; Mica has a post in the FAQ (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=250) section that might answer your question.
