Title: Screw size for control cover
Post by: elwoodblue on February 12, 2011, 10:32:52 AM
I'm working on bringing my '78 guitar back to life, and the screws for the back control cavity cover have gone MIA.

What size should I look for (so I don't have to bring the guitar into the hardware store) ?

thanks all,

Current size is 2-56 (NC) x 3/8.  Not sure if they have changed sizes over the years.

Do you have threaded inserts or not?

Yes I have the brass threaded inserts,
they look the same as the inserts on my '82 exploiter (which also has some lost screws).
 Thanks Jon and Mica,

I like any thread about that guitar... I think Bro. Elwood should post a pictorial update on ol' Eleven-Hundred.  ;D
