Flirting with the thought of an ultra portable rack rig.
F1X and either a Carvin DCM200L or an SWR Amplite in a cool looking tolex covered 2U rack like the Carvin SV2.
Is this a recipe for disaster? Am I going to run into heat issues?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I don't know those amps, but if you are blocking a vent, I'd be concerned. I have my pre's and poweramp racked up tight, but my QSC pulls air in through the front and out the back, so there is no blockage.

Here's what I heard back from Carvin:
When we eliminated the toroid in the older units, it decreased the heat issues significantly. You should be fine, as long as the back remains open.

Well ... when the dust settled I landed up with the F1X paired with an SWR Amplite.
4 gigs and still good. Still do not have a rack case .. hustling everything around in an old suitcase

Any personal reviews on the Amplite? I'm quite curious!

I'd like to know your impressions, too
