Post by: manbass7 on January 16, 2015, 08:02:08 AM
Hi, it's incredible when my bass is close my mobile phone, there is a lot of noise from my amp, is there anything to do to avoid this problem ? I know I could switch my phone off  but no other solution please ?
Thanks
Luc

I suggest that you turn off any potential sources of RF/EMF/EMI interference issues .

The GSM cell phone  protocol seems to cause the most pronounced issues . The CDMA protocol seems not as invasive on our instruments.  Find out from your cell carrier what the system protocol is if you do not know .

If there is a SIM card, it's GSM.  At least, that's how it was when I worked in the telecommunications  industry.

My iPhone definitely interferes with the Series II electronics in my Starfire if it's in my pocket. If I just put it on my amp, I have no issues at all. Dead quiet.
